Repression, overbearing staff, bullying on both sides of the tracks was the order of the day then, as it clearly still is now. I think some of these Catholic school dictators live in a bubble, with twisted morals and can’t see outside their closed little worlds. How the hell can one see fit to ban crisps and chocolate, who the hell does that to kids? Doesn’t this smack of either Nazi Germany or the Inquisition?

I’m glad I left this place. Admittedly a couple of teachers were decent and did recognise my talent and intellect, which I quietly appreciate looking back, but none of them behaved in a way I would call normal nor understanding. It took me to my mid twenties to recover and rehabilitate after the claustrophobia, paranoia and double standards of the people I encountered there and only then could I socialise normally and become successful. Not recommended.
