Over 80 different international cricket matches are to be investigated following claims that a businessman from London has been fixing matches. Mazhar Majeed was arrested following allegations that he rigged a test match between Pakistan and England. Majeed was released on bail but will appear before police in the near future.

It appears that Scotland Yard may have been made aware of the match-fixing about a month ago. Reportedly, the force was tipped off in a test match between Pakistan and England at Trent Bridge. Several players from Pakistan were questioned about the rigging after claims that Majeed had ordered them to corrupt the match.

According to a sting done by a tabloid newspaper, Majeed said that a racket had been set up with seven players. He has apparently been running the racket for several years and made large sums of money. Majeed reportedly asked two of the Pakistan players to do a delivery of no-balls on purpose, and they did exactly that at the times that was mentioned in the report. This rigging would allow betting syndicates to place best and make him large amounts of money.

The International Cricket Council will use its anti-corruption unit to investigate the matches during the time in which Majeed was said to have been rigging the matches, according to sources. The Metropolitan Police will work alongside them, further investigating the claims of deliberate no-balls done by the players from Pakistan. Detectives have searched their hotel and taken their mobile phones, and several players associated with the team have been questioned.

Suspicious have also been raised over early test matches at Trent Bridge and Edgbaston. Since these reports have come out, Pakistan players have been reportedly booed by their supporters, but people close to Majeed insist that the allegations are untrue.

Medvedev told Bono that politicians are not the only ones that help take care of people and added that the music of U2 has helped bring people together for decades.

The pair met at the President’s summer residence located on the Black Sea.

The performance in Russia will be monumental not only because U2 will perform for their first time in the trouble laden country, but also due to the fact that U2 just got back on the 360 Degree Tour in Italy a few weeks ago after two months off following a back injury that Bono sustained.

Bono wore his trademark earring and sunglasses to meet with the President and ask him to help with his ‘Red’ campaign which helps fundraise for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis.

Starbucks, Microsoft, Nike, and Apple have all already contributed to the campaign by selling products in red and donating portions of the proceeds from sales.

Medvedev told Bono that he would think about how his country can help the Red brand.

The two were also said to joke about their musical tastes and discuss corruption as a method to end poverty.

There are a lot of freedoms defined by law, but it is unlikely that sexual freedoms are on the top of most people’s minds. However, they may be with the news that a 21 year old with learning disabilities is going to be able to fly to Amsterdam so that he can engage in sexual relations with a paid prostitute all at the taxpayers’ expense.

The social worker for the young man claims that sex is one of the ‘human rights’ to which everyone is supposed to have access and that his client is a frustrated virgin. It seems highly odd that the Government would approve funding for his escapade, given the fact that there are no doubt many 21 year old men at university who could relate.

His trip however is being funded via a £520m scheme from the previous government put in place to help those with disabilities. Those with disabilities received a personal budget and the ability to choose how they spend the money.

The social worker said that the client was anxious and frustrated as a result of trying to find a sexual partner and that the man had taken part in two sexual awareness and health classes and is now ready to give it a go, so as to speak.

The social worker added that the girls in Amsterdam are much more safe when it comes to sex compared to those in Britain and that it seems better that social services help guide him, support him, and educate him through the process so that he can have his needs met in a licensed place so that he can grow as a person.

Critics claim that the use of taxpayer money to fund trips abroad for sex is disturbing and that something needs to be done.

An amateur Psychic from Australia has become a world wide public figure since discovering a headless torso of a woman found in plastic bags on an Australian creek embankment.

The Psychic was originally enrolled to help with the search of a missing six year old girl who had disappeared from her bedroom as her mother slept in the next room. The Psychic had been using all of her psychic powers to get some sign to help in the search but admits herself she is not a Professional Psychic.

In the end, it was a premonition that led her to discover this grown woman’s torso, and whilst there is no connection to the missing girl, in order for her to have a premonition about that particular location has of course fascinated people and got the whole neighbourhood talking.

The Police are said to be interested in her abilities and have been asking the Psychic questions to help with their inquiries although they have said that finding the torso in this manner has been under very unusual circumstances.

The police are still trying to identify the body that was found and the missing child continues to remain missing, with the police believing that the child is unfortunately dead.

This has not been the first incidence that Psychics have helped out in police investigations and whilst some are officially asked to help, others, like this case, approach the police as they have had their own thoughts or feelings that they feel are worth investigating.

A London motorist who discovered her car was in a different parking spot when she returned from a shopping trip rang her local council in to ask if the car park was haunted.

The query was just one of a number of bizarre phone calls made by members of the public to Sutton Council in south London. Other questions included “how long can I safely store ginger powder for?” and “can I put a dead fox in my recycling bin?”

The ghostly goings-on came to light when the woman called the council’s environmental contact centre to say her car had moved “of its own accord”.

She asked if the car park, in Brighton Road, Sutton, was haunted and wondered if a ghost had been responsible.

The truth, however, was rather less supernatural. Council officials reviewed CCTV footage and found the car had gently rolled into a different parking bay after the driver had failed to apply her handbrake properly.

Cllr Simon Wales, Sutton’s Executive Member for Communities, Transport and Voluntary Sector, said: “Our call centre was last year voted the best in London and we can tackle most queries but I must admit there are some that do raise eyebrows.”

Other ‘unusual’ calls included:

Do you know where I could get an old bath that I could fill with custard for a fundraising event?

Can I park a double decker bus in my front garden?

What time is Buckingham Palace open today?

My TV is broken

And, should I get broadband?

The council is encouraging people to save time and money by using its internet services.

Residents in the London Borough of Sutton (www.sutton.gov.uk) can go online to access dozens of services, including anything from reporting noise nuisance or graffiti to paying a council tax bill, and from booking a football pitch to registering an interest in adoption and fostering.

Farrow, aged 65, appeared in front of the court at the trial of Taylor, former president of Liberia, and said that Campbell told her and three of her kids that she received the diamonds from Taylor after a dinner with Nelson Mandela back in 1997.

Taylor is on trial for war crimes after a UN indictment for his role in helping rebels out in Sierra Leone during their civil war which stretched from 1996 to 2002.

According to Farrow, Campbell sat down for dinner at her table and before even sitting down stated that Taylor had sent some men to her door to offer her a very large diamond.

Farrow also said that she had talked to Campbell and pleaded with her to testify against Taylor after the international supermodel refused up until she was subpoenaed to appear in court August 5th.

Campbell offered her sworn testimony to the UN court on Thursday of last week and stated that she did not know the men who offered her the diamonds after the Pretoria charity event.

UN Judges and Prosecutors asked Farrow three times if she was sure that Campbell knew where the diamonds were given her refusal on stand to admit to their origin, and each time Farrow stated that Campbell had walked into the room during breakfast and declared she was given the jewels by men representing Charles Taylor.

Taylor has denied owning any diamonds and that he did not trade them in return for supplying weapons to insurgents.

The FSA (Financial Services Authority) stated that the RBS failed to properly screen transactions and customers throughout 2008, which created the risk that they may have issued loans to sanctions targets and terrorist groups.

Although no such incidents were indicated by the investigation, given the large degree of risk the bank was fined for allowing such an opportunity to occur.

FSA director of enforcement and financial crime, Margaret Cole, stated that a UK financial institution that makes it possible to fund or offer any type of financial or economic resources to those on a sanctions list undermines the safety and credibility of the financial services sector in the UK.

The large fine amount is the first penalty that has been handed out by the FSA after the 2007 Money Laundering Regulations came into effect and is meant to serve as a clear warning to other banking institutions that the regulations need to be supported by proper lending screening procedures.

The RBS was able to reduce the fine by 30% because they settled early into the investigation by the FSA and stated that they have already taken steps to correct the unfortunate situation.

Head of risk at RBS, Nathan Bostock, stated that the investigation brought to the RSB’s attention that there were some deficiencies in their policies and controls that will be fixed.

However, it seems the main goal is more to ‘expose’ the US military that they clearly hate and get a lot of attention from doing so.

Julian Assange, the head of WikiLeaks, stated that they are simply showing how brutal war can be, although it seems from reading the reports that the US is the only brutal member of the way although this fact is obviously not true.

War is never a pleasant experience and no one wants to see civilian or soldier casualties, but the simple fact of the matter is that they do happen and something needed to be done to fight the attacks such as 9-11 or suicide bombers employed by the Taliban.

The problem with Assange’s reports is that they hardly seem objective with a great deal of doubt over if he would actually publish anything that fits outside of his own agenda, even if it were in fact true secret repoWrts from the Taliban.

Of course, it is clear that Assange is not writing in an effort to help out either side, as his main focus is to raise some controversy and possibly get himself on television as a celebrity.

Mrs. Robinson the UK dating website.

The website found that 40% of forty plus women like the idea of finding a relationship with a younger man, and that a quarter of these were already in a relationship with a younger man. However, out of these women, 75% see relationships with younger men as casual flings and are simply for fun. The same amount also admits they do not trust younger men, although it does not seem to stop them from having a little bit of fun.

Yes! Mrs. Robinson is the success of Paul Benbow the dating expert who is also the head honcho at Smart Dating UK and was set up with the idea of helping match older women to the younger men that they adore.

Benbow stated that he was surprised at the amount of women that responded stating that the same women that used to have traditional goals now declaring that that old fashioned values are out and now it’s about no commitment, no strings, and simply a great time without concern about how long it will actually last.

Welsh ladies in particular seemed to support the boy toy trend with almost half of all Welsh women who responded indicating that they would like to have a younger man in their life.

Still, age aside, women appear to be looking for the same thing with the top two attributes in an attractive male reported to be personality and humour.

Tarot reading first began as a method for playing card games with the original rules making an appearance in a manuscript from 1425. As time passed tarot reading was associated with magic and mysticism, and is thought to have been adopted by mystics around the 18th century.

Today tarot cards are rarely used as playing cards, but instead are used to predict the future. This has led to tarot reading, which is based on the popular belief that the cards can be use in order to gain knowledge on future situations, or sometimes even present situations that people find themselves facing.

In this instance people are looking to find tarots reading online in order to find continuity. Some people believe that those that can offer a reading based on a card layout are guided by some type of spiritual source, whether it is a divinity or a force of nature like Gaia.

Others believe that tarot reading helps them to tap into their own creative or subconscious forces by motivating their mind to brainstorm and see a situation in a different light. Regardless of which belief system, most of the cards derive their meaning from Medieval Alchemy and Jewish mysticism.

For online tarot readings, usually what occurs is a set of cards are laid out into a spread in an effort to answer questions about work, romance, finance, or relationships. Each card contains a different energy which can be used to explain how each of these factors affects the person individually. For this reason, tarot readings are best used when wants a general reading on their life or has a specific question about one of these categories.

Most tarot readings have their own interpretation of the cards that are loosely based on the recogniszed meanings of cards as a guide. Over time the depictions on the tarot cards has changed as well as their tones which as a result has lead to new systems of symbolism which is why the tarot reader themselves must develop their own sense of reading for a card. This is why some tarot readers are often recognized as better than others which is why you should be careful when attempting to request tarot readings online that you can trust.

When tarot cards are read in most cases they are laid out into a design that is chosen by the reader. Each is usually given a number with each card being turned over in a sequence with a particular question or answer in mind. As the tarot reader progresses they contemplate the meaning of each card and the position that it appears in, while creating their own interpretation of what the card means to a the person who has asked for the reading.

At other times, the first card in a spread is chosen to represent the query and is used as the base for every card that is turned over thereafter.
